CSQScales® for Special Populations
The CSQScales® are adapted and tailored for special populations that allow use with respondents with visual impairments, with children & youth, and for use in situations where it is desirable for parents or guardians to rate the quality and satisfaction with services that are provided to children.
Big Print
Individuals with low vision or other visual impairments can often use forms that include large size type characters. The CSQ-8 is available in a BIG PRINT format in English or Spanish. The big print format can be custom made in other languages by special order. The font type and size can also be custom designed upon request. Special orders can take up to two weeks to fulfill. Children & Youth
Children and youth (age 5 to 13) can provide useful information to inform studies of program quality and effectiveness. Collection of such data often requires a data collector to collaborate directly with children or youths by reading the items and assisting with the designation of a rating point for each item in the survey. The CSQ-8 is available in a Children & Youth format that uses the standard CSQ-8 item and incorporates “smiley” faces to designate the rating options. Often the data collector verbally assists the respondents in understanding the meaning and focus of the item to be rated. The Children & Youth format is currently available in English. This format can be custom designed in additional languages by special order. Special orders can take up to two weeks to fulfill. Parent-Rated Child Services
Often it is more useful and consistent with study or survey goals to have parents or guardians rate the level of quality and effectiveness of services provided to children and youth. The CSQ-8 has been adapted by Tamalpais Matrix Systems, LLC to be used to collect parent and guardian ratings. This version uses the standard eight items that comprise the CSQ-8, modified to accommodate the parental rating, and is available in English, French, Norwegian, and Spanish. This format can be custom designed in additional languages by special order. Special orders can take up to one month to fulfill.
